Castle Pudding

"Quick and easy. My sons love these! If you don't have self raising flour, you can substitute 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 3/4 teaspoon baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt."

  1. I'm going to assume that I did something wrong when I made this because mine turned out dry and my dad and brother said it wasn't sweet enough. I'm going to put no stars on it because maybe it was a user error?

  3. Very good and so easy to make. I was a bit hesitant about using all that vanilla at first but did, with Saturn's reassurance, and was so pleased with the result. We all loved them and I know I'll be making them often.

  4. These puddings were so easy to make and they are made with standard pantry ingredients, making this a really useful recipe to have in your repertoire for occasions when you want to whip up a tasty little pudding. I halved the recipe, and made just two puddings as I was not going to be serving it to anyone else. I would for that reason have rather liked to have quartered it but halving an egg is hard enough (!), so I ate one while it was warm, and shall eat the other one tomorrow or the next day at room temperature. A delicious blend of flavours, and a lovely texture, and the puddings look very presentable: certainly suitable for serving to guests (no way do they look as if they were so quick to make!), but you might want to make the recipe once first, to check out your microwave’s heat levels as these can be so variable. Thanks Saturn, for a great little recipe!

  5. I cut this recipe in half and it made two nice sized ramekins. These were so easy to make and were really good. I was not sure what to expect from the title but was so pleased with the outcome! I drizzled chocolate syrup on the plates and served. Thanks Saturn!
