Questions & Replies

  1. Hi, I know it's pretty obvious from the photos, but the recipe directions don't actually say when and where to put the cooked bacon in the sandwiches. They do taste great though! Cheers from down the bottom of Australia, Geoff

  1. Like other reviewers, I cut the mayo quantity in half. I also used leftover turkey instead of chicken. I used a sourdough baguette which made nice little sandwiches, and an aged white cheddar. These were SO good!!!

  2. Though I cut back on the mayonnaise made as written. Very delightful lunch for us as we enjoyed these . Great recipe. Made for Holiday tag..

  3. I really liked this. Next time I will cut down the mayo and maybe a bit of lemon juice because it was too runny. I might even sub in some cream cheese. YUM.

  4. This was really good and my 4yr DS LOVED it!! I used canned chicken and regular white bread. Next time I will use the sourdough or a thicker/denser bread so the sandwhich is not soft/mushy. This was a great adition to our "snacks for dinner" during the football games. Made for Make My Recipe Tag.

  5. I used some leftover chicken to make this sandwich and it made a wonderful lunchtime treat. I omitted the chives since I didn't have any. Loved the addition of the bacon! Made for Make My Recipe in the Australia and New Zealand forum.

With the demise of the forums and with no more interaction on site with what was a great community and it was a pleasure to get to know so many of you over the years and to have had the privilege of meeting some of you in person. For me now this is just another recipe site like to many on the net, it has lost its specialness, such a pity especially when Scripps changed the name from Recipezaar to Food.com and made this statement sorry cannot replicate here as considered invalid but they basically said yes the community was valuable hence .com was short for community but it was a pack of lies as they were not willing to put the money into that community and got rid of the forums which was the community so for .com has become .crap.
