There aren't many households in Australia that don't have a recipe similar to this. This is a good basic chocolate slice, that is always enjoyed. Not too heavy like a brownie.

Super easy and delicous. I used a 9x13 pan and they were kind of thin, but still excellent. I also sprinkled powedered sugar on top of the icing after putting the icing on. Will definately make again!

Good- I don't know what a slice pan is, so used a 20X20 square pan. It wasn't quite cake, but not moist enough to be a brownie. I guess the closest US thing would be one of those "snack'n cakes" that comes with the mix and the pan. Liking coconut is a must to enjoy this.

This recipe has been used in my family for years! It's a simple tasty recipe thats easy enough for kids to put together and it's great in the lunchbox. The only changes I make is to top off the icing with a sprinkle of coconut.

Great recipe. It was very quick to prepare and very moreish. I didn't have brown sugar so I used castor sugar instead and it worked out fine.
