This was the perfect ending to a Mexican Feast. Served it with a creme anglaise. Everyone who begged off from dessert at first (because they were too full from dinner) came back for seconds of the refreshing dessert.

We first tryed these tasty oranges while in Warrnambool and they were made for us by the chef! Magnificant! (Thanks Jan!) Since then we have made them again with mandarines and they were a great hit for our Christmas Day dinner!

Refreshing with a nice not too strong kick from the liqueur and brandy. You can also taste the vanilla, which makes it even more special. Another plus is that I could make this a good day in advance. I served this with several other desserts at a dinner party and several people left with the recipe...thanks Jan!!

I've had oranges in a Cointreau sauce before, but adding the vanilla bean was a stroke of genius. Superb!
