What fantastic pies! I topped mine with puff pastry instead of shortcrust and added a good heaped teaspoon of Pepper Steak Seasoning to the meat mixture...Mmmm! I made larger pies this time around, the smaller ones would be great party pies! I had mine for lunch with tomato sauce (ketchup), the rest of the family had theirs for dinner served with mashed spuds and veg. Next time I'm going to try freezing some...for easy weekend lunches and late night snacks. Reviewed for ZWT3.
Excellent recipe. I made mine with ground pork instead of beef and topped them with a bit of cheese (parm) and just put a triangle of pastry on the top to let steam out around the edges. Will be making them again.
