Morrie's Sausage Casserole

"When growing up, Morrie was our next door neighbour. I remember my Brother loving this recipe, in fact it was about all he would eat as a kid!! Please allow time to boil the sausages and stew the apple!"

  • Preheat oven to 120°C.
  • Make a sauce with the boiling water, flour, sugar, vinegar, ketchup, butter, curry powder, salt and pepper.
  • In an oven dish place sausages, carrot, onion and apples.
  • Add sauce mixing well.
  • Cover and cook for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.

  4. This was exactly like the curry i grew up on but couldnt remember the recipe just the right amount of curry without being too hot next time i might add some sultanas and may even try it with chicken. thanks for the recipe!
     
  5. I made this last week for the family & they loved it. My husband doesn't usually like sausages but he said this is one recipe he DOES like so yay! I finally found a recipe for sausages that he likes! It's only taken 15 years of trying! We had this with rice but I reckon mashed potatoes would go nicely too. A great winter dish.
