    This originates from the the Maven bakery in Santa Fe. This is now my favourite brownie recipe!

    Ingredients:

    Directions:

    1. 1
      Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius Grease and line a 30cm square pan with silicone paper.
    2. 2
      Combine the chocolate, butter, cocoa powder and oil in a bowl over a pan of simmering water, stirring. Cool slightly.

      Beat the eggs, vanilla, coffee and sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 10 minutes or until thick and pale. Fold the warm chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until combined, then fold in the flour and walnuts until just combined.

      Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for about 4o minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out with a few moist crumbs, but is not sticky.

      Cool completely in the pan before turning out and cutting into 16 squares-dust with icing sugar before serving.

      Fantastic brownies Noo. So rich and fudgey and just the way I like my brownies. A little crackly on top and rough around the edges. The coffee taste comes through perfectly too. A sure keeper of a brownie recipe for me.

      I'm not big on coffee, but made these for my other half to share at one of his weekly get-togethers, & defer to his ravings about how good they are ~ Apparently they're some of the best brownies he's had! One thing I do know is that the pan came back to me totally empty, so that says a lot! Thanks for sharing the recipe!       i used 1 cup butter and baked at 350 for 1 hour i think i would not cook that long for the pan i used . this makes alot of brownies that are AWESOME it is a little work true but they taste great the batter is fluid dont worry about it .
