Watermelon Mai Tai

"To make this drink suitable for non drinkers, omit alcohol and increase the pineapple juice to 1 cup. I like to add the ice to the blender also..n drink it like a slushy."

  1. Had half a melon in the freezer and used that for a couple of yummy drinks. Made for Aussie/NZ RS#34.

  2. Yummo, this so reminds me of the drinks my husband & I sipped on in Vanuatu on our honeymoon, much enjoyed, thanks for posting!

  3. I made the mai tai as specified by the directions. I have to admit I wasn't impressed. It was just too sweet and sticky, and it didn't hit the spot. Of course I am not particularly partial to sweet drinks, so maybe people who like sweet drinks would really enjoy this.

  4. Yum! I'd never had a watermelon Mai Tai before and this was great! I didn't have pineapple juice, but had fresh pineapple, so I blended that in with the watermelon. it still came out delicious!

  5. oooh how yummy!!! i used a little less than half of a mini watermelon cause i wasn't sure how much 500 g was. also my pineapple juice was unfortunately older than i thought and had to use orange juice as a sub. but it was still a great drink! definately going to make these again in the summer! :)
